Bill.com Partners Up with Mastercard to Improve Small Business
With the addition of Mastercard, Bill.com looks to bring the small business landscape further into the wireless payment world.
Bill.com helps small and midsize businesses handle their daily payment needs. However, small businesses don’t really use wireless payments. The archaic way that small businesses deal with their payments, as you can imagine, isn’t a suitable method of taking invoices in practice. The use of cash and checks takes way too long to process on a regular basis. Moving into the modern age would help small businesses immensely. With Mastercard, virtual payments will be a faster way to take payments and process invoices.
“We’re excited to partner with Mastercard as a leading global payment company that has blazed new ground in business payments for small and midsize companies. Our goal to enable automated electronic disbursements and collections is completely aligned with Mastercard’s vision of a world beyond cash and checks,” said Bora Chung, SVP of Product at Bill.com.
“Our goal is to empower small business owners with the right tools and resources to run their business. With the partnership with Bill.com, we can bring the benefits of virtual cards to hundreds of thousands of smaller enterprises in the United States,” said Ginger Siegel, North America Small Business Lead at Mastercard. “Virtual cards are more secure and provide transparency into cash in-flows and out-flows, which is critical to the growth of all small businesses.”
The best thing about this coupling is that both small business owners and consumers will benefit from it. Cash and checks are slowly being phased out, and hopefully this will result in a speedier payments environment for small and midsize businesses.
