Atlanta-Based Amplio Recruiting is Making Every Day World Refugee Day
ATLANTA, GA – June 15th, 2018 • Amplio Recruiting has taken the spirit of World Refugee Day, which is June 20th, to heart by making refugees the focus of their hiring and recruiting efforts year-round.
Refugees have come from around the world to make better lives for themselves and their families. An essential part of this effort is finding employment. By uniting businesses with refugees, Atlanta-based Amplio Recruiting is tapping into a labor source that has been proven to be reliable and committed to improving their lives in their new home country.
“We firmly believe dependable refugees resettling in the US are the best hope for rebuilding the manufacturing industry and supporting the American economy,” added Chris Chancey, founder of Amplio Recruiting.
Its efforts have changed lives. In 2017, over 300 refugees received full-time employment via Amplio Recruiting. They came from 34 nations and speak over 22 languages. Amplio Recruiting has already given over $35 thousand to nonprofits that provide job training programs for refugees.
Despite popular perception, refugees aren’t a burden on the economy. A 2018 study conducted by the Fiscal Policy Institute surveyed some United States employers that hired refugees. Seventy-six percent of respondents reported higher retention rates for refugees than other employees.
The recruiting office also has a 70 percent hiring retention rate compared to the industry standard of 40 percent. Today, there are 156 refugee employees on Amplio Recruiting’s payroll. In 2017, refugees working for Amplio paid over $1 million in United States taxes.
Amplio Recruiting isn’t stopping there and has set high goals for 2018 and beyond. For 2018, Amplio Recruiting aims to find full-time employment for 600 refugees. Amplio currently has offices in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and Raleigh, with plans to expand into other major cities this year. By 2025, the company aims to hire 30 thousand refugees across 25 locations.
