According to reports, the next Nexus device from LG set for October release, will ship with Android Pay automatically.
This comes, as little surprise to tech guru’s as Android Pay was highly detailed in-depth at this year’s Google I/O. This event usually precedes a launch of some kind, and with the next version of Android, it is almost certain that the device will come preloaded with Android Pay.
The framework for Android Pay is as typical as it gets, yet does not lack in essential functionality. It allows users to sync credit cards, debit cards, and loyalty rewards cards, accessing supported terminals that feature NFC compatibility.
Android Pay is not brick-and-mortar exclusive though, as the applications designers and developers can also build in Android Pay support, allowing for spending money directly through Android Pay on almost any platform.
grubHub, Newegg, and OpenTable are said to be a few of the applications already confirmed to be supported by Android Pay.
In addition, LG is allegedly working with Google to fine tune Android Pay for the upcoming device; however, it is not known if LG will be enabling a fingerprint reader for it.
To keep up with competitors, we can assume that fingerprint access will be made available for Nexus from LG, but only time will tell.
With the combination of facts and speculation, Nexus users will have to wait to see if the expectations live up to reality when the device begins to be ship to major retail outlets and wireless service providers.
