Omise, based in Bangkok and focused on the Southeast Asia market, landed a hefty $17.5 million Series B funding round to help drive its efforts in bringing what’s called a Stripe-style service to the region.
Reports suggest that, following successful trials in Thailand, the service will likely expand outward to other countries in Southeast Asia, before potentially moving on from there.
Xendit, a money-transfer service intended for South Asian countries, is launching today in Indonesia.
