Increased mobile purchases on Thanksgiving and Black Friday show shoppers may have found alternatives to crowded stores and jammed packed parking lots.
This Black Friday saw the first decline in sales in the U.S. since 2009. According to the National Retail Federation, 141 million people went shopping which were 2 million more people who went out to shop than last year. However, the average amount of money spent per shopper fell 3.9 percent to $407.02.
