Seamless Launches SEQR Mobile Payments Solution in Kuwait

Kuwait International Bank and McDonald’s are partnering up with Seemless, the Swedish mobile payments solution, to introduce the SEQR mobile payments platform into the state of Kuwait in the Middle East.

Through this partnership, Kuwait International Bank became the first financial institution in the Middle East to use SEQR as a mobile payments platform. The SEQR platform allows users to make payments using their mobile phones through NFC or QR codes at participating merchants.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Kuwait International Bank to introduce SEQR on the Kuwaiti market,” said Seamless CEO Peter Fredell.

“The launch of SEQR on the Swedish market has been very successful, and we hope that our partnership will help to make life simpler for many consumers in Kuwait.”
