Harper Reed announced in a recent speech his efforts to build a user-centric and streamlined mobile app for consumers. Reed served as President Obama’s chief technology officer during his 2012 reelection campaign.

He earned high praise for his work on Obama’s social media efforts which included a mobile application that was credited with driving voters to the polls. Though still in the planning stages, Reed spoke of being inspired by Uber an application for hailing taxis, and Amazon’s push for same-day deliveries. Taking aim at the fragmentation of mobile payments, Reed hopes to provide a user-friendly sensibility that he sees the market is lacking.
