Google Pay to Discuss Partnerships in Frictionless and Voice-Enabled Commerce
The digital payments landscape has a few mainstays that act as defining benchmarks for the payment medium. One of those mainstays is Google Pay, which has pegged itself to discuss some of its future endeavors on stage at TRANSACT, the world’s largest tech show for the payments industry.
“2019 is proving to be a pivotal year for digital payments in the U.S., as consumers are increasing their use of mobile payments.” said Amy Zirkle, interim CEO at ETA. “We are excited to hear from Spencer and the new products and partnerships that Google is bringing to the payments ecosystem.”
Spencer Spinnell is responsible for the creation of new Google payments products. Spinnell has been working at Google since 2003 and has been integral in the creation and launch of many products.
“I’m looking forward to taking the TRANSACT stage to share our partner’s success stories with Google Pay and how it brings frictionless payments to both merchants and consumers,” said Spinnell. “This is an exciting time for the industry and I’m looking forward to discussing the many exciting changes, including the move towards conversational commerce and the critical aspect that payments contributes to it as it becomes a part of our day-to-day life.”
The TRANSACT event will take place during April 30 – May 2, 2019. Mobile payments are the focal point of the event as the payment industry learns as much as it can about new advancements in the field.
While Google Pay has been a major player in the mobile payments field for quite some time, the world still pays attention when they have something to say. It should be interesting to see what innovative products Google has in store.
