Acquisition Brings 129 Years of Expertise to USSC’s Customers
MIAMI, July 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — United Screening Services, Corporation (USSC), has been acquired by Sarma, one of the largest independent credit reporting agencies in the U.S. It was announced today by Bob Benavides, Sarma president and CEO. The acquisition was effective on July 1, 2018.
USSC provides background checks and screening for the real estate and human resources communities nationwide. Sarma was formed in 1907 in San Antonio, Texas and has had a local presence in Florida since 2006. USSC has been in Florida since its founding in 1999.
USSC will continue to operate with the same management, customer service, and products and services. No action is required by clients; services will not be interrupted and will be offered through the same accessing platform and pricing/invoicing processes.
What will change for USSC’s clients is the range of additional Sarma services now available to them, including these products: credit reports (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian); criminal record services for state, county and federal; motor vehicle records; social security trace; drug screening reports; I-9 verification; healthcare sanctions reports; verification report of conditions such as employment, history, education, rental history, licenses, certifications and professional references; and eviction reports.
The acquisition of USSC follows the acquisition of three other Floridacompanies by Sarma. “This acquisition marks the fourth in Florida for Sarma in the past twelve years,” says Sarma President and CEO Bob Benavides. “We are very familiar with this market—its business and social cultures; its priorities; its challenges—and have tailored our products and services to those needs.”
