Amazon Opens Complete Black Friday Deals Store
Recently we have seen what Target was doing to step up its competitive edge in the face of a highly competitive and potentially well-trafficked shopping season. Now, we see a response of sorts from Amazon, who has already opened a complete Black Friday Deals Store designed to get shoppers in the door even earlier than normal.
The Black Friday Deals Store will, reports note, allow customers to both search for items using Alexa as well as bring gift guides into the picture. A look at the store suggests that the deals come from all over Amazon’s purview, with just the first row featuring a 12 inch Apple Macbook, a Suncast deckbox, Anker charging accessories, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy on Blu-ray and a KitchenAid Professional six-quart bowl-lift stand mixer.
Not half bad, but it gets better still; beleaguered Sears is throwing in a bit of help with Amazon, bringing out Amazon Dash Replenishment for smart appliances sold under the Kenmore brand. Shoppers will be able to order replacement parts automatically using Amazon, particularly useful for things like air and water filters. Sears also recently expanded its connection with Amazon by offering DieHard all-season passenger tires for the first time on the service, which features ship-to-store capability in 47 different Sears Auto Center locations with plans for rapid expansion.
Amazon has likely caught on to one important fact by now: the brick-and-mortar market is not taking this lying down, and will be making a push to recover its lost market in grand style. Target already ramped up its operations with new two-day shipping options and mobile checkout stands in stores to help speed up the process.
It’s not surprising to see Amazon make a push of its own by pulling back Black Friday to almost October, not to mention bringing out a whole lot of new deals leading up to the actual Black Friday where it will likely have even more deals afoot. This just proves clearly that the Black Friday market is one everyone wants a piece of.
