LevelUp, LuvJo Get Together to Improve Ordering for Coffee Shops
We’ve all seen how mobile order ahead functions help restaurants smooth out the rough spots of a wait, but what about other places? Places like your favorite coffee shop—and who doesn’t have one of those?—or juice bar or the like? They often haven’t had much access to mobile order ahead, but that’s a point that’s about to change thanks to a new partnership between LevelUp and LuvJo.
Each part of this partnership makes sense alone, and even more so together. LuvJo is known for its online ordering systems geared to those smaller-time food and drink operations like food trucks and the aforementioned shops. Meanwhile, LevelUp is a major name in mobile engagement tools for restaurant operations.
Since LevelUp already counts millions of users as part of its user base, it’s got a pretty robust network of distribution partners on hand, opening up these new services to many users who wouldn’t have been able to put these to work otherwise. That allows these more localized options to better compete with large-scale operations that have been offering mobile order ahead for some time.
LevelUp’s head of partnerships, Seann Moriarty, commented “LuvJo is making big waves by powering the online ordering capabilities of independent coffee shops, and supporting local economies in this way is something we can truly get behind. This partnership will drive more orders to local coffee shops while introducing LevelUp users to great local establishments that they otherwise may have missed out on.”
It’s always been somewhat difficult for local providers of anything to compete with large-scale franchise operations. After all, those economies of scale often allow for lower prices, prices that local operations can’t match. Throw in the improved access to better technology and the picture only sours further for the locals. However, tools like the ones brought forth by LevelUp and LuvJo could be a real game-changer and a serious niche market. What small-time operation wouldn’t want a means to compete with the big boys on tech made readily available?
LuvJo and LevelUp may well have found a great way to use mobile technology to their own advantage by making the shovels that will be used in the mobile order ahead gold rush. Ultimately, this should be a smart plan all around.
