Cardtek Announces New Partnership with Emcredit

Cardtek is a universally known payment solutions provider with a lot to offer its customers. That statement holds even more water than ever before with an announced partnership with Emcredit, a subsidiary of the Dubai Economic Department, to launch the secure mobile payment platform, emPAY, offering UAE residents a national mobile wallet solution.

In tandem with Dubai’s Smart Government Initiative, emPay will bring together a number of service providers including commercial banks, government departments, exchange houses, retailers, educational institutions, and transportation companies, into a common platform where consumers are easily able to access and pay for an array of services from one mobile wallet platform.

As a result of the collaboration, consumers in the United Arab Emirates will be able to make retail payments, initiate money transfers, pay for government utilities, telecommunication, and school fees, among other things, from a single mobile wallet.

Cardtek will offer Emcredit the payment infrastructure, along with mobile know-how, operational services and product enhancement to support future needs.
