Revel Systems, LevelUp Step Up Mobile for Restaurant
Eating out can be a fantastic experience. A blend of amazing tastes set in wonderful ambiance can turn even a fairly standard dinner into an unforgettable night out. Or it can just be a quick sandwich at Chick-Fil-A; whichever. For those who want to have the experience, yet don’t want to take all night about it, a new partnership between Revel Systems and LevelUp should go a long way toward improving the experience on all fronts by making it more efficient.
The new partnership between Revel Systems—best known for a business platform that connects customer channels with operations to make a more efficient overall system—and LevelUp will ultimately drive a new mobile experience for customers via a new point-of-sale (POS) system.
Those who bring the Revel / LevelUp co-production into operations will be able to offer up not only mobile payments on an in-store basis, but also mobile order-ahead functions and loyalty program options. With the new program, restaurants will be better able to offer features that customers have demonstrated desire for. By offering these, those restaurants will be able to increase the likelihood of return business.
LevelUp’s head of partnerships, Seann Moriarty, commented “Revel has developed a very strong offering with iPad-based POS systems that enable a user-friendly experience for restaurants and consumers. By joining LevelUp’s mobile payment, loyalty and ordering solution with Revel System’s POS solution, the mobile experience is taken to the next level for consumers and merchants.”
Basically, LevelUp and Revel are getting together to produce a new system that should ultimately make most every desirable restaurant system available in one convenient package. That should, in turn, be an attractive offer to restaurants out there that don’t already have these systems in place. We know that mobile payments at the table can speed up the restaurant experience. We know that cutting out the “can I take your order?” phase speeds things up. We know a faster experience is what a lot of customers want. Restaurants do too; faster turnover means more diners means more money.
This should, therefore, be a very popular setup, and a whole lot of businesses out there should be looking forward to getting this in place.
