Zebpay’s 100,000 Download Milestone Reflects Growing Desire for Bitcoin in India
Only a year after the launch of Zebpay, a mobile bitcoin exchange, the app has been downloaded more than 100,000 times from iOS and Android app stores.
This represents a massive increase in interest for bitcoins as an investment, commodity, and technology in India.
Zebpay is currently India’s biggest bitcoin exchange. When it started back in 2015, it set out to achieve its mission to offer a simple and reliable experience for regular people to buy and sell bitcoins.
“100,000 downloads is a big milestone for us. We are currently adding 20,000 users every month and we are confident about meeting the target of touching 350,000 downloads by the end of 2016! We are on a mission to spread bitcoins in India. We believe it has a potential to bring technological disruption in financial infrastructure”, said Mahin Gupta, co-founder and CTO, Zebpay.
Zebpay is essentially a bitcoin app that can be access by both iPhone and Android. Within the app, users are able to buy and sell bitcoins, recharge their airtime across India and buy vouchers of Amazon, Flipkart etc.
“We have been successfully delivering the promise to provide users with easiest way to buy / sell bitcoins with fast and error-free transactions,” continued Gupta.
Zebpay is via the Appstore for iPhone and Google Play for Android.
The company has set its sights on continuing its mission of making bitcoins simple.
