American Express Previews Amex bot for Facebook Messenger at Cannes-Lions
American Express, otherwise known as AmEx recently unveiled its plans to work with the people over at Facebook to explore new ways to interact with Card Members in Messenger.
The concept proposed demonstated how AmEx Card Members could sign up to receive real-time notifications about their purchases, and important information about card their purchases as well as prudent information regarding Card benefits and services related to those purchases, through an AmEx bot for Messenger.
As an example, lets say a Platinum Card Member purchases an airline ticket from Vegas or NYC, that person would receive a purchase notification in Messenger and then may additionally receive a reminder about how to access The Centurion Lounge at the airport, or restaurant recommendations, for their impending trip.
AmEx anticipates a launching of a pilot bot for Messenger in the coming months for eligible U.S. Consumer and OPEN Card Members who opt-in to participate.
