DIMOCO Acquires Payment Division of Telekom New Media

News today out of Vienna and Budapest details DIMOCO, a leading payment institute for carrier billing services, announcing the acquisition of the premium SMS business of Telekom New Media Zrt., a subsidiary of Magyar Telekom Nyrt, the leading Hungarian telecommunications service provider.

With this acquisition, DIMOCO solidifies its position as the leading carrier billing provider in the Hungarian market.

The Hungarian market is composed of a 109.3 percent handset penetration rate, in contrast to its 11.8 percent credit card acquisition rate.

With nearly 11 million handsets in circulation, the Hungarian market is ready for the current and future opportunities now possible due to DIMICO carrier billing services.

DIMCO previously took over the PSMS aggregation business of Telekom New Media Zrt. back in December.
