Bank of America, the second largest U.S. bank says that they will be automatically enrolling some of its valued customers in Visa Checkout, which will make it easier for consumers to shop online.

Users usually need to go through a lengthy enrollment process themselves and manually input all their customer information into the Visa Checkout before they can use Visa’s one-click buy button to make purchases online.

However, the partnership between Visa and Bank of America means that some of the lucky customers won’t have to go through the tedious process and can start enjoying a seamless shopping experience.

Back in February 2016, Visa said that they are going to take measures to integrate an API from Google, which will enable users to use auto-complete their address and make it easier to complete the online purchase.

Small tweaks like these has contributed and improved the online shopping experience for Visa users.

Visa says that 86 percent of the users using their Checkout page usually completed their purchases during Q4 2015.

If the second largest U.S. bank is going to enroll some of their customers into the program, then the Visa Checkout user base would likely further expand in the coming months.

However, Visa can put some effort in making the Checkout process more mobile friendly in order to better compete with similar one-click shopping products.

A recent report from Business Insider shows that customers are increasingly going online from their smartphones to buy products.

According to the same report, by 2020, almost 45 percent of all retail e-commerce transactions will be conducted from mobile devices.

Industry experts who have been paying close attention to the Visa Checkout product and its one-click purchasing features say that focusing on mobile platforms will enable Visa to experience organic growth with their Checkout over the next few years.
