Mint Payments to Process $4 Billion Travel Spending for Tramada Systems
Omni-channel payments solutions provider Mint Payments announced that they have signed an agreement with Tramada Systems to deliver a fully integrated online payment system.
Tramada Systems is a corporate travel management and travel agency software solution provider and they currently process around 3 million bookings on an annual basis.
The three-year agreement would enable Tramada Systems to use the Minternet. Tramada Systems has already taken the initiative to build an integrated credit card module called tramada® Payment Gateway, which they are going to offer to travel industry customers as part of its core product offerings.
Tramada Systems boasts a network of around 300 travel agencies operating mainly in Australia and New Zealand. Collectively they process around $4 billion worth of travel expenses.
Furthermore, Tramada Systems’ clientele include around 60 government agencies and universities, 80 multinational corporations, and some of the top public companies trading on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
Commenting on the license and distribution agreement between these two companies, Jo O’Brien, the Chief Executive Officer of Tramada Systems said that “Mint effectively eliminates what would otherwise be a manual process, delivering time savings with the resultant benefits of cost savings, accuracy and integrity.” He emphasized on delivering value to its network of travel agencies through automating the payment process. “Automation is our mantra,” said Mr. O’Brien.
By contrast, the Head of Product Management at Tramada Systems, John Tran, focused on the highly secured payment environment being developed by his company. “With tramada® being PCI DSS compliant, it is important to us that our partners maintain this high standard.
With PCI DSS compliance and certification PCI PTS and other international payment regulations, partnering with Mint Payments was an easy choice,” he said.
The deal appears to be a win-win strategy for both parties involved as Alex Teoh, the CEO of Mint Payments sounded optimistic when he said that his company is “delighted to partner with an innovative business like Tramada.”
The deal between Mint Payments and Tramada Systems would allow the Mint to receive part of the proceeds from merchant acquiring services and transaction fees. On top of that, Mint Payments would receive a recurring monthly fee for each travel agency on Tramada Systems’ network who would use their payment processing technology solution.
