Mastercard Announces Safdar Khan Division President for Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei
As such, he will be responsible for delivering increased value to Mastercard stakeholders by driving the implementation of the company’s digital payment technologies.
The new role and division will operate out of Jakarta, where Mr. Khan will be headquartered. It is here where he will attempt to recognize the growing importance of the developing South East Asian economies, specifically in Indonesia, which is slated to be a trillion dollar economy over the next two years, and the world’s fourth largest economy over the next ten years or so.
Safdar Khan has over 20 years of experience covering technology, banking, e-commerce, and payment services and has held multiple senior leadership positions across Asia and the Middle East at Mastercard for 10 years.
His most recently held position was as Group Country Manager for Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei.
