Urban FT, Inc., one of the leading providers of white-label digital banking applications for mainly bank and non-bank issuers, recently announced that it would soon be enabling Sprint Money Express.
Sprint Money Express is the product of collaboration with Sprint Corporation (NYSE: S) and Urban FT—ready for use to Sprint’s 57 million users starting right after the New Year in January 2016.
The target of Spring Money Express is to offer a design that gives customers “best-in-class” banking functionality, social capabilities, and can target deals as part of a singular app.
Richard Steggall, the CEO and co-founder of Urban FT, commented, “Its sleek and modern design with intuitive functionality sets it apart from other digital wallets in the marketplace. I feel Sprint is the first of the Wireless Telco’s to develop the right formula – one that successfully pairs customers’ needs and wants with relevant and meaningful functionality”.
The Sprint Money Express service will enable customers to sign up for a Sprint branded Prepaid MasterCard. In addition, they may aggregate several cards and accounts into a single digital wallet. Also, managing finances and budgets, and having access to the best local deals and offers are other desirable features of the service.
“Our objective with Sprint Money Express is very simple. We want to give Sprint customers relevant and meaningful functionality that solves a need. This new service does exactly that, and is something Sprint and we are very pleased to have demonstrated at Finovate today. As we move forward we are continuing to work with Sprint to rollout additional features to meet their customer’s evolving needs. These include contactless NFC payments as well as carrier billing options. We expect these features to be available to customers in the second-half,” commented Mark Kilpatrick, the Chief Product Officer at Urban FT.
