Passport, the leader in mobile payments for parking and transit announces its expansion to various universities this summer.
Specializing in integrated urban mobility solutions, Passport provides high-end software platforms, which offer parking and transit agencies a more efficient way to manage their services. Currently, Passport’s mobile payment solution is operating in over 1,000 locations over 43 states nationwide.
At the beginning of the summer, Passport launched its services at Weber State University, University of Central Florida, and the Auraria Higher Education Center. With future plans in mind, Passport intends to offer its services at Ole Miss, Michigan State, University of Nebraska, Oregon State, and the University of Michigan very soon.
“It’s very exciting to be able to innovate the way students pay for parking on their university’s campus,” commented Michael Rafferty, the Vice President of Enterprise Implementations at Passport. “Universities nationwide are embracing mobile payment technology and are seeing the benefits that come along with choosing Passport as their mobile payment provider. We work closely with each university to ensure that the solution we’re launching is the right fit for their parking environment.”
Passport offers student and faculty features that are designed to enhance their parking experiences, making it significantly easier. Some of these features include: receiving notifications before the end of parking sessions, extending parking to a maximum allotted time, and managing parking history.
Looks like some students and professors across the nation will have one less thing to stress about this coming Fall semester thanks to Passport.
