Amazon.com Goes Live in Mexico

Mexican customers can now access one of the United States’ leading e-commerce market places, Amazon.com.

Amazon.com.mx, the Spanish-language website offers at launch: Consumer Electronics, Kitchen & Home, Sports & Outdoors, Tools & Home Improvement, Baby, Health & Personal Care, Watches, Books, Music, DVD, Video Games, and Software.

Mexican customers also gain access to the Amazon App, available for download on Google Play, and iOS devices. The app allows customers to browse the site’s collection, track orders, contact customer service, and read product reviews on the go.

Amazon.com.mx also offers businesses a channel to grow their businesses by selling their products to its 278 million active customers worldwide. The site offers sellers payment processing and credit card protection, as well as the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service to efficiently get their products to customers.

“The expansion of Amazon.com.mx represents Amazon’s biggest international launch ever,” said Juan Carlos García, Country Manager for Amazon Mexico. “With convenient and secure payment options and fast delivery, our goal is to deliver a world-class shopping experience for customers in Mexico.”

As part of the launch, Amazon is offering three pre-registered Kindle e-readers available for purchase from Amazon.com.mx: the MXN 1,499 Kindle; the all-new Kindle Paperwhite; and the Kindle Voyage.
