MasterCard is now offering its MasterPass digital wallet solution to over 110 payment service providers (PSPs) thanks to its partnership with Munich-based PAY.ON.
Offering consumers a fast, simple, and safe payment option, MasterPass is immediately available to PSPs through PAY.ON’s white label global payment gateway.
PAY.ON enables PSPs, ISOs, acquirers, ISVs, and VARs to fully outsource payment transaction processing or integrate a gateway-to-gateway solution.
MasterCard’s MasterPass integrates several technologies to create a digital wallet that stores payment and shipping information in a secure data center at the issuing bank, and sends cardholder information to the merchant during the payment process.
This reduces payment to just a few clicks, thus reducing the rate of cart abandonment and ultimately delivering simplicity and efficiency to end users.
MasterPass is available through PAY.ON’s COPYandPAY, allowing merchants to quickly enable payment processing by just incorporating a few lines of code.
The finalized payment page immediately becomes active and includes about 100 payment methods and comprehensive fraud prevention tools.
Wolfgang Berner, Senior Vice President Product at PAY.ON, commented, “We are pleased to further build upon our close partnership with MasterCard. With MasterPass, merchants and shoppers have a multifunctional payment method that allows for centralized and secure use of all available online payment methods. This sets a new standard for digital wallets, or eWallets.”
