Moki’s Total Control System to Drive PayPoint’s Point of Sale Terminals

The point of sale terminal is one of the biggest parts of the merchant payments equation, particularly in terms of usability.

Thus, PayPoint—who is a major presence in payment technologies the world over—has turned to Moki and its Total Control toolset to help drive its point of sale systems.

PayPoint’s needs are rather unique in the field; it needs point of sale systems that can accommodate impressive volumes, as PayPoint systems handle over 14 billion pounds sterling—a hair over $22 billion US as of this writing—annually from over 800 million transactions from 5,500 separate clients.

But in Moki Total Control, the necessary remote management, security measures, and policy-based compliance systems are all on hand, producing an end result that should be strong enough for its users.

It also means a high-tech upgrade to a tablet-based POS with more functionality.

What’s more, Moki Total Control can also offer up some tools geared toward gathering purchase data and putting said data to work determining various trends being experienced by the business in question.

It’s also sufficiently scalable, according to reports, that it can expand as needed, which is an important point to keep in mind when it comes to retailers that may experience busy times of a day, busy days of a week, or even busy months of the year. Moki reportedly also had a hand in some terminal design and supplier selections for PayPoint, suggesting the two companies already have a bit of history together and further explaining PayPoint’s ultimate decision to work with Moki.

But there’s no better place to get an explanation of motives than direct from PayPoint, and a quote from Tom Karren, CEO and co-founder of Moki.

“PayPoint is replacing an older payments system with a new POS system making an upgrade from an older-style hardware experience to an interactive tablet. Traditional POS systems are less interactive and less flexible, which means that retailers are stuck doing things the way they have been done for years. This partnership will primarily benefit retailers that leverage the new PayPoint solution, and in general raises the standard for all merchants in terms of the value they can expect from payment systems. With Moki Total Control software, customers can remotely do a lot of things they used to deploy someone to a physical location to accomplish. This includes setup, software updates, battery monitoring and data analytics. When you are working with cloud-based customer facing devices, the opportunities are virtually endless. We are excited to see all of the ways Moki Total Control will be able to enhance and elevate the customer experience as well as facilitate remote management and better customer interactions for PayPoint’s U.K. and international POS terminal customers.”

Addressing concerns like that should prove helpful in driving more business to PayPoint terminals as well.

Better operations, more security, and a more powerful point of sale system should help keep PayPoint near the top of the heap for some time to come thanks in part to Moki’s Total Control system.
