Visa Europe and Computop Bring V.me to German Retailers
Visa Europe has teamed up with Computop, one of the major Payment Service Providers (PSP) in Germany, to enable the large scale implementation of the digital wallet, V.me.
Available for use throughout Europe, V. me by Visa provides a single wallet where consumers can include their debit and credit cards from different issuers.
The digital wallet promises a faster online shopping experience, with the payment process completed in just three clicks; users just have to enter their username and password and choose the card they would like to use. Additionally, V.me by Visa does not share complete card details with the retailers, thus ensuring safe transactions.
Under the partnership, Computop will provide the technical expertise to integrate the digital wallet as an online payment solution for German e-commerce retailers.
Computop will also implement Visa’s payment solution to essential e-commerce shop systems, thus providing SMBs access to standard applications of V.me by Visa.
The collaboration will also see the two companies working together on the marketing, public relations, and sales aspects of the project.
“With Computop, we have found a reliable and experienced partner to successfully implement V.me by Visa in Germany,” said Ulrich Keppler, Acceptance Development Central Europe for Visa Europe. “We expect our digital wallet to be available to first consumers as a convenient, fast and secure online payment solution by September 2015.”
