Salarium Wants to Bring Mobile Payments to Your Paycheck

Salarium, a Philippines-based startup, is working on a new payroll system that will combine mobile payments, time sheets, and payroll processing all in one SaaS solution.

The app-based solution promises to give employers and employees a platform to view and manage paychecks in a way that makes it easier for everyone.

The solution was impressive enough to help Salarium win a $500,000 investment after competing at Seedstars World, a startup competition that had entrants from as far afield as Latin America and Southeast Asia.

Salarium CEO Judah Hirsch expressed his gratitude for the prize, which they won after competing with about 2,000 other startups. “This is a huge boost of credibility for us, and the connections we established during the SSW Final Event alone will be very helpful for our further success and expansion plans,” he said.

Like so many startups, Salarium is a cloud-focused SaaS platform that provides an end-to-end solution for a very specific task. By tracking work time, employee records, government forms, and expenses, it offers a total payroll solution for firms.

Salarium has plans beyond payroll processing, however. A recent partnership with PyxPay will allow employers to use a mobile e-wallet to pay employees instantly from a mobile device. The money will then be credited to a prepaid card that workers can then use at ATMs to get cash.
