Tuxedo Money Solutions and GPS aim to bring forth several new payment offerings in major cities across the globe. Supported by GPS, Tuxedo has launched a series of expansion projects in Australia.

John Sharman, Tuxedo Money Solutions CEO, said, “Tuxedo has a stated focus on rapid international expansion for our payments technology platform to take advantage of the predicted £1.1 trillion global payments market. By working with GPS we are able to bring our technology to the expanding UAE market and support our existing expansion in Europe, Australasia, and the US.”

The duo also plans to rollout digital and prepaid products in the Middle East, due to the growing number of workers. Lack of alternative payment options has slowed down money transfers and basic financial transactions for individuals who do not have immediate access to banks in the area.

Combining Tuxedo’s robust eccount payments platform and GPS’s broad knowledge of the region with focus on the prepaid space, the newly formed team is expected to offer its services in Q2 of 2015.

“GPS continues to expand our global reach with Tuxedo Money Solutions. I am delighted to have John and his team operating on the platform and we look forward to launching many more exciting programs together. Tuxedo has a great reputation in this industry and their choice to partner with GPS reflects our position as a leading Prepaid Processor,” mentioned GPS chief commercial officer, Neil Weeks.

Tuxedo’s strategic agreements in 2015 include i2c Inc., a California-based international payments processor. In support of its global campaigns, the company also appointed Rob Darby as Head of Relationship Management earlier this month.

With over 20 years of experience in the payments industry, Darby’s expertise extends to Airtours (My Travel) and Access Prepaid, Mastercard.
