MasterCard users in Oman can now participate in a McDonald’s raffle draw and get a chance to win a four day long Europe trip. During the trip, they will be able to watch a Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) champions league match as well.
McDonald’s recently initiated a cashless payment system in Oman. The partnership with MasterCard to offer their customers a chance to watch a UEFA champions league match is part of a marketing campaign of McDonald’s to promote this cashless system in Oman.
Under the terms of the raffle draw, every McDonald’s customer who buys an Extra Value Meal (EVM) with MasterCard will be given a voucher for the raffle draw. Customers are required to place the voucher in a raffle box located inside the McDonald’s stores in Oman. The voucher is given based on the number of Extra Value Meal purchase, so a single customer can receive multiple vouchers and increase his or her chance of winning.
Commenting on the raffle draw and partnership with MasterCard, Ali Daud, the President of McDonald’s Oman, told the media that “In partnership with MasterCard, we at McDonald’s want to celebrate our customers’ loyalty and highlight how simple it has become for them to purchase their favorite meals.”
“With such an exciting trip to the UEFA Champions League up for grabs, we can confidently say that winning will never taste so great,” he added.
The raffle draw prize is being called “Priceless,” to signify MasterCard’s current advertising campaign tagline. The prize package will include two return air tickets along with two UEFA champions league match tickets as well as accommodation at a four star hotel. The package seems to also include hotel transfer service and a private tour of the stadium where the match will be hosted. Besides, winners will get a chance to dine in a reputable local restaurant.
