WorldPay Collaborates with ChargeBee to Offer Global Subscription Payments

Accel Partners and Tiger Global backed ChargeBee has announced that it has partnered with one of the largest payment processing company WorldPay to facilitate global subscription payments.

ChargeBee is an online subscription and recurring billing management solutions provider that offers bespoke payment integration service to businesses.

With this unique collaboration with WorldPay, ChargeBee would be able to offer its customers the features of WorldPay’s eCommerce solutions. ChargeBee will combine its cloud-based SaaS billing service with WorldPay’s global payment processing via a pre-built integration in order to offer a robust online subscription billing platform for package subscriptions or recurring payments.

In a press release, ChargeBee claimed that the collaboration with WorldPay would also enable it to offer “a secure and consistent experience for a consumers’ preferred payment method.”

Commenting on the collaboration with WorldPay, the Co-founder and current Chief Executive Officer of ChargeBee, Krish Subramanian, said that “our partnership with WorldPay will allow companies to streamline their billing and payment services, providing enhanced efficiency and helping to drive results for their business.” “Together with WorldPay, we offer innovative solutions in two critical areas — subscription billing and recurring payment processing — for businesses of any size and industry,” he continued.

On the other hand, partnering with ChargeBee appears to be a secular move by WorldPay. “Our partnership with ChargeBee is a natural synergy,” said Kevin Dallas, the Chief Product and Marketing Officer of Global eCommerce at WorldPay. Mr. Dallas went on to add that “recurring payments and subscription models are becoming more popular, as consumers adapt their consumption habits to pay only for those items and services they wish to use.” “[ChargeBee] delivers choice, value and peace of mind to companies using subscription billing, or those looking to adopt this model to help them grow globally,” he said.

ChargeBee said that a cloud based customer support software provider called Freshdesk would be the first corporate customer to take advantage of the pre-built integration offered by the collaboration between ChargeBee and WorldPay.
