Sterling Payment Technologies and Datacap Systems Offer EMV-capable NETePay

Sterling Payment Technologies, a national payment processor and provider of integrated payment solutions, has teamed up with Datacap Systems to offer a market-leading EMV solution that provides merchants a reliable and safe payment option.

Through the agreement, Sterling NETePay will become available through the Sterling/Datacap Usage Program, allowing dealers to offer the technology via a “solution-as-a-service” model.

With this EMV-capable version of NETePay, Sterling’s network of POS providers will be able to provide US EMV functionality via PIN Pads through an out-of-scope interface.

The initial release of Sterling NETePay is certified to use Verifone’s VX 805 PIN Pad, which supports EMV, PIN, NFC and MSR transactions.

Hardware components that support mobile solutions, unattended applications and signature capture will be added shortly via subsequent re-certifications.

The solution, which will become available in the coming weeks, will offer Sterling’s reseller partners with the same attractive rental models, rapid deployment and advanced technical support that other Datacap solutions have shown over the years, said Gary Staub, chief sales and marketing officer at Sterling.

Justin Zeigler, marketing director at Datacap Systems, commented, “We’re excited to announce the release of a US EMV-enabled version of NETePay for Sterling. Datacap and Sterling have worked cooperatively for years to provide the channel with an ‘as-a-service’ payments solution allowing ISVs and VARs to earn recurring revenue on each installation. The addition of US EMV support in NETePay will ensure that POS providers keep pace with the evolving payments landscape.”
