Global services company American Express is bringing Apple Pay to major markets allowing Card Members to pay on the go using their iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

Apple’s mobile payment and digital wallet service will become available for American Express Card Members in Canada and Australia this year, with Spain, Singapore and Hong Kong to follow suit next year.

Card Members in these markets will be able to seamlessly add their small business, eligible consumer and corporate American Express Cards and pay with their Apple devices in stores where American Express and contactless payments are accepted.

They will also be able to pay using their iPad or iPhone in participating merchant apps.

Card Members paying with Apple Pay will continue to take advantage of the protection and customer service that American Express is known for.

They will also receive real-time notifications and details for their purchases, as well as enjoy seamless connection to the Amex Mobile app for better account monitoring, servicing and access to rewards and offers.

Tony Prentice, vice president, mobile products and payments, American Express, commented, “With our global reach, we are able to bring Apple Pay to Card Members quickly in these important countries. We believe it is critical to be on the forefront of seamless and innovative payment solutions for our Card Members and we are pleased to be able to deliver on that with Apple Pay.”
