PayPal Will Now Pay for Your Return Shipping!

October 14, 2015         By: Mike Dautner

Some exciting news for PayPal users with the online shopping season right around the corner.

In order to help with this hectic season, PayPal wants to cover the costs of those purchases in which you immediately feel a wave of regret for once the transaction is finalized.

The company announced that it will reimburse its U.S. customers’ shipping costs for up to four returns of items that were purchased between October 13th 2015, and January 31st, 2016.

The maximum amount that PayPal is willing to cover is $30 per return shipment.

Now customers from across the U.S. can make purchases without weighing their options for hours on end, knowing that they have a small bailout option if they feel the decision they’ve made was the wrong decision.

40 other countries around the globe have already had the luxury of this option from PayPal—with the U.S. finally debuting this offering on Tuesday.

“Options like refunds on return shipping costs, formerly considered a perk or promotional tool offered by retailers, are now integral to getting a consumer to click that buy button online,” PayPal executive Jo Lambert said in a statement.

Target.com, Macy’s, Wal-Mart, and the Apple Store are just some of the big online retailers that currently accept PayPal as payment.
