Businesses both large and small can become global brands overnight thanks to the internet.

E-commerce is a booming industry and online retail is expected to grow at three times the rate of standard brick-and-mortar retailers.

The proliferation of e-commerce has revolutionized emerging payments. Accepting payments from around the world is now as simple as the click of a mouse.

PayLane, a European online payments provider, aims to allow people from around the world to purchase products with ease.

PayLane deals with over 160 currencies and 30 payment types ranging from Visa to PayPal to SPA.

Products can be sold in the buyer’s native currency and settled in a different type with just one transaction. Payments can be debit or credit and can be set up for recurring transactions.

For businesses on the move, there’s an option for mobile payments with the PayLane GO! application.

Business owners don’t need to worry about accounting complexities either with PayLane’s invoice generator that automatically calculates it.

The software can be custom tailored to meet small business needs as well with plugins and the ability to write in multiple programming languages.

Developers will have no issue with both ready-to-go payment solutions, and PayLane’s API – software that will allow users to create custom solutions.

Payments can be taken directly from the website and hide PayLane’s presence.

Of course, PayLane is just one of several online payment providers vying to gain a foothold on the likes of Braintree and Stripe.

PayLane touts its startup friendly services as a main selling point, and helps new businesses get up to speed in stepping into online businesses by taking care of setting up merchant accounts and easing into the alternative payment methods that different countries in Europe utilize.
